Donald Trump Admits He Supported Eagles Over Chiefs Due to Taylor Swift’s Actions at Super Bowl
President Donald Trump attended Super Bowl LIX on February 9, 2025, in New Orleans, marking the first time a sitting U.S. president attended the event.
Despite publicly predicting a Kansas City Chiefs victory, Trump departed the stadium early, around halftime, as the Philadelphia Eagles led 24-0. His early exit was reportedly due to pre-scheduled security arrangements.
After the game, Trump took to social media to comment on the events.
He mocked the Chiefs’ performance and the reception of pop star Taylor Swift, who was present at the game supporting her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Swift was met with boos from the crowd when shown on the Jumbotron.
Trump posted on Truth Social, “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift.
