But the bigger political shock is what’s happening behind the scenes. Reports suggest that as many as 37 senators are privately urging Donald Trump to consider resigning, though this number has not been confirmed by any official letter.

What is confirmed is that at least seven senators have publicly called for Trump’s resignation or impeachment, along with more than 100 House members.
This pressure is being fueled by the prolonged government shutdown, healthcare uncertainty, legal controversies, and concerns over Trump’s defiance of court rulings. While Trump resigning within 48 hours is highly unlikely, the growing unrest signals a serious weakening of his support in Congress.
