Russell Wilson Reveals 5-Word Response to Pete Carroll Reunion
The Jaguars Hire Highly Regarded Coach from the Green Bay Packers
The NFL will look very different next season after all the head coaching vacancies have been filled. One such vacancy in Las Vegas was filled by former Seahawks coach, Pete Carroll.
Carroll was announced as the Raiders head coach on Jan. 25, and one of the team’s top priorities is finding a serviceable quarterback.
That has prompted speculation that Carroll could be reunited with Russell Wilson, who played in Pittsburgh last season on a one-year deal.
The Steelers have expressed interest in Wilson returning in 2025, had Wilson has reciprocated that interest, but with the Super Bowl less than a week away, free-agent moves are still a ways away.
Wilson was asked specifically about a reunion with his former coach in Las Vegas, and he got straight to the point.
“I’m focused on the Steelers,” Wilson said.
“Pete’s going to be a great coach, obviously,” Wilson continued, via the Associated Press. “He’s great at what he does. But I’m focused on the Steelers.”
