It all started in the year 2001. LeBron James was already a star basketball player at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School and Savannah Brinson was a brilliant softball player and cheerleader at another nearby school. Fate intervened by bringing these two people together unexpectedly. When James invited Brinson out on a date, they did not know it would be the start of a love tale for the ages.
When a mutual acquaintance reported that LeBron had asked for Savannah’s phone number, her reaction to that was priceless.
Eleven years after their celebrated wedlock, Savannah narrates her love story filled with twists and turns. Akin to a cliffhanger, the tale tests the King before bestowing him with a bond of lifetime.
Savannah recently spoke in an interview about this and said, “I’m like, um, nope. I’ll take his number. One day I’m sitting around, I was probably bored or something, and I’m like, Oh, I forgot! I have this number for this guy that I can call. He seemed interested, so let’s see”. And then she called him up, and they both met.
Nevertheless, their first date was amazing, but it was what happened the next day that truly captured Savannah’s heart.
