As Trump demands his name be put on buildings across America, his family’s company just quietly tried to trademark his name on any airport using his name, and all items in the airport with his name, from buses shuttling passengers, to umbrellas and travel bags, to flight suits.
This comes as Florida Republicans push a bill to rename Palm Beach International Airport after him, and as Trump pushes to get a New York/New Jersey tunnel, Penn Station, and even Dulles International Airport named after him. If those get his name on it, the trademark applications for those buildings will be applied for as well.
It’s a simple scam: Trump and Republicans pass bills requiring Trump’s name be put on buildings, then his family charges a fee to the taxpayers for it — well after he’s out of office.
Just another way to profit from the taxpayer.
Of course, The Trump Organization says they won’t seek any profit — only protection against “bad actors”.
Yeah. Right.
