Australia says it will not send naval ships to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Catherine King said: We won’t be sending a ship to the Strait of Hormuz. We know how incredibly important that is, but that’s not something we’re contributing to.
South Korea offered no commitment: We will communicate closely with the U.S. regarding this matter and make a decision after careful review.
Even Britain is backing away. Keir Starmer said he would not be drawn into the wider Iran war.
Germany’s Boris Pistorius was blunt: What does Trump expect from a handful of European frigates that the powerful U.S. Navy cannot do? This is not our war, we have not started it.
For years Trump insulted allies, threatened NATO partners, and treated diplomacy like a reality show stunt. Now that his disastrous decisions have destabilized global shipping and the region itself, he wants those same allies to rescue him.
