JUST IN: Jimmy Kimmel Officially Fired by ABC Following Nationwide Outrage and intense pressure from Donald Trump Over Controversial Joke Made After White House Correspondents’ Dinner Shooting
**JUST IN: ABC Reportedly Under Pressure as Jimmy Kimmel Controversy Sparks National Debate**
Late-night television host Jimmy Kimmel is once again at the center of political controversy after backlash erupted over a joke he made following the recent shooting scare connected to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Online rumors claiming that ABC had “officially fired” Kimmel spread rapidly across social media this week, with many posts alleging the network acted after mounting public outrage and pressure from Donald Trump. However, no official statement from ABC or its parent company has confirmed that Kimmel has been fired. ([Reuters][1])
The controversy intensified after Kimmel made a satirical remark about First Lady Melania Trump shortly before an alleged assassination attempt disrupted the annual media event in Washington. Trump publicly condemned the comedian and called for ABC to remove him from the air, arguing that political rhetoric from entertainers had gone too far. ([New York Post][2])
Despite the viral claims, current reports indicate that Kimmel remains associated with ABC, although political pressure surrounding the network has reportedly increased. Democratic lawmakers have even accused federal regulators of targeting ABC over the dispute.
The situation has fueled a wider national debate about political comedy, media freedom, and the growing tension between entertainment networks and political figures in America’s deeply divided climate.
